The 2025 Global Partner Conference was fantastic, and we would like to thank all attendees for their presence, their contributions and their company.

We look forward to another great year for the iPECS community.

In March, we celebrated another hugely successful Global Partner Conference. The annual event is a chance to bring global partners together to share the latest updates, discuss the future, and celebrate each other’s successes.

This year’s event was held in the beautiful surroundings of Phuket, Thailand, and attracted partners from all over the world. It took place for four days, from March 5th to March 8th and the theme of the conference was “shaping our future with iPECS”,

Welcoming our partners

Day one was arrival date where our iPECS family gathered all together in Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach. In the evening, we welcomed our partners with relaxed drinks reception, giving our partner community the opportunity to catch up with peers and friends. It was wonderful to reconnect face to face with our global partner family, and this set a friendly tone for the rest of the events ahead.

General Conference

On day two, the Conference talks began with an uplifting address from our CEO, Patrick Johansson. He introduced the theme, “shaping the future with iPECS”, and highlighted how the strength and breadth of our portfolio is enabling partners to achieve this goal.

He talked about some business highlights, including brand-new partnerships in Bangladesh as well as increased reach in the UK via Gamma, who he welcomed to the Ericsson-LG Enterprise family.

Our growth and strategy

Ahed Alkhatib, our Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, then led a session focused on the future, sharing some insightful analysis and forecasts regarding the enterprise communications market.

The next talks revolved around Ericsson-LG Enterprise’s commercial success and strategy for the future. Yuno Jung, our Head of International Sales, broke down our outstanding performance in 2023, drawing particular attention to the continued growth of cloud in many markets.

He also pointed out that the commercial and technical flexibility of the iPECS portfolio will continue to help drive growth when combined with the strength of our partner community.

Next, Ahed Alkhatib spoke again, reinforcing Yuno’s message about flexibility. As he pointed out, iPECS Cloud will remain key focusing business, along with on-premises being present.

Our innovation

The focus then shifted to technology and innovation. Yong Lee, our Head of Operations, highlighted the scale of technological change in our industry, from analog to digital, VoIP to UC, virtualization to cloud, and UCaaS to AI. As he pointed out, change is continuous, and success will mean responding to that change.

Knowledge sharing will be key as he explained, and he announced the launch of a new iPECS Academy with enhanced training materials and a certification program to help with learning and development.

Our technical innovations will be just as important, and these were the subject of the next talk from HM Lee, Head of Product Line Management. He discussed the UCaaS product landscape and our future product strategy, with exciting developments to come including AI applications and omni-channel customer service.

HM also discussed other new features and enhancements for other products including on-premise solutions and iPECS Analytics. Finally, he promised new API releases to empower partners to develop third-party enhancements for their specific markets.

Guest speakers

The Conference also featured inspirational talks from our partner community. Daryl Pile from Gamma addressed attendees with a talk titled “Trust, Loyalty, and Growth.” This was Daryl’s first Global Partner Conference since Gamma joined the Ericsson-LG Enterprise family, and it was an inspirational introduction. We are excited to welcome Gamma as part of our community, and

Richard Knight and Lewis Early of Cosoft, a UK-based software company, then talked about the exciting integrations they are doing using the iPECS API. This included the innovative use of AI to boost productivity and automate tasks within the communications environment. Finally, we also hosted a fascinating panel discussion between partners in the Australia (Tony Vitale from Aria Technologies), Ireland (Liam Tracey, Goldstar), Israel (Alon Elmasel, Bezeq International), the UK (Will Morey, Pragma), and the USA (Sean Robertson, CTD). They talked about their respective markets, highlighting the different challenges and opportunities they face.

While there were many differences in terms of cloud uptake, market preference, and infrastructure, all agreed that the breadth of the iPECS portfolio was helping them to meet demand and thrive.

Gala and awards

After the fascinating talks and discussions, it was time for celebration in the form of our traditional gala and awards, on the third day. The theme and dress code was “bling bling into the future”, which led to some interesting and colorful outfits!

This was a wonderful Global Partner Conference, and we would like to thank all attendees for their presence, their company, and their contributions to another great year for iPECS.

Ericsson-LG Enterprise’s annual Global Partner Conference was held between March 7th and 10th, 2023. This was the first in-person GPC event hosted since the pandemic. After more than two years away, it provided a fantastic opportunity for partners to reconnect, share the latest innovations, and host lively discussions.

GPC 2023 event was also the first Partner Conference held in our home city of Seoul. During the event, we heard from senior members of the Ericsson-LG Enterprise team, as well as many of our partners, on the future of iPECS and the new opportunities for business development.

The event began with a keynote address from Ericsson-LG Enterprise CEO, Patrick Johansson. Patrick welcomed partners to the event and expressed his and the iPECS team’s excitement about the first in-person event for 3 years. Patrick introduced the theme of GPC 2023’s conference, #FutureTogether. This theme matched our vision for iPECS in 2023, with our goal of looking ahead to a fantastic year, backed by a winning portfolio, awesome partners, and a great team.

Global Head of Sales and Marketing, Ahed Alkhatib, was next to speak. Ahed echoed Patrick’s sentiments about how great it was to have global partners all in one place again. Ahed spoke about how iPECS continues to break industry trends by continuing to support both our cloud and on-premise offering globally. This move is designed around supporting future growth. While legacy vendors are struggling to adapt, iPECS has remained committed to innovation since the start. In 2023 this will continue with the power of iPECS Cloud being unleashed through our API.

The next speaker global partners heard from was Head of International Sales, Yuno Jung. Yuno covered the business highlights of 2022. Despite a challenging global landscape, the iPECS global network delivered huge success during the year. iPECS Cloud saw an exceptional performance. Cloud has seen a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 40%, with Pragma continuing to lead the cloud journey with 35% year-on-year growth.

Ahed spoke next, highlighting the importance of global partners maintaining a complete portfolio. While on-premise is still an important part of any iPECS offering, the market is moving toward a SaaS model. As highlighted by Patrick Watson from Cavell Group, Ahed re-iterated that despite new competition from giants like Microsoft, 90% of MS Teams customers still look to 3rd party experts for their telephony and integrated services. The market is changing, but the knowledge across the iPECS network will help us rise to these new challenges.

Jaeen Yoo, Head of Operations, and HM Lee, Head of PLM, then discussed innovations and the industry trends of 2023. Jaeen reiterated the importance of cloud, especially with hybrid working showing no signs of slowing down. 2023 marks 10 years of iPECS Cloud, from its development in 2013, to 2016’s UK launch and finally to 2023, where iPECS Cloud is seeing 40% year on year growth, and 100% uptime. HM took time to spotlight new features arriving in iPECS Cloud’s phase 5 and 6 updates, as well as new developments for iPECS ONE.

HM followed this with a presentation on the iPECS roadmap for 2023, including a range of exciting features and upgrades set to be released throughout the year.

The next speaker was Seokwon Lee, who took time to discuss the evolution of communication from services like ISDN and VoIP, to new UCaaS and XaaS platforms. Seokwon put a particular focus on the advancement of the API and SDK and its importance for future development.

Next, speakers from Ericsson-LG Enterprise and Global partners from 4 continents came together for an informative and engaging panel on how the communications market is evolving, the challenges we face, and advice on how we can tackle them together.

The panel was followed by guest speaker Kevin Butler, CEO of Vertical Communications. Kevin led an inspiring presentation on how to use failure to achieve success, and how iPECS solutions can help businesses to achieve three key business challenges:

  • generating new business.
  • the slowing growth curve of cloud after an initial boom.
  • monetizing channel partners.

The next guest speaker was Richard Knight, Sales and Marketing Director of UK-based software developer, cosoft. Richard led a session on how cosoft is leading the way in unleashing the power of iPECS through our API. This included integrations with artificial intelligence chatbots, to enhance customer experience.

The final session of the day was hosted by Ahed and Will Morey, CEO of Pragma, who have spearheaded the launch of iPECS Cloud in the UK since 2016. Ahed and Will looked back at the success of Pragma, and how they overcame key challenges during their cloud implementation. Will underlined his thoughts that being a channel-only business is key to building trust and creating successful relationships, and highlighted the partnership between Ericsson-LG Enterprise and Pragma.

Global Partner Conference 2022

Ericsson-LG Enterprise’s annual Global Partner Conference was held virtually across the world on February 24 2022. This annual event provides a chance for global partners to reconnect and share the latest discussions on innovations, sales strategy, and business development. It also provides us with an opportunity to congratulate Global Partners on their successes.

2022’s event was hosted by the Head of Global Sales and Marketing, Ahed Alkhatib, but began with a special keynote address from Ericsson-LG Enterprise CEO, Patrick Johansson. Patrick congratulated partners on their success in what was a challenging 2021 and introduced the theme of 2022’s event, Imagine Possible. Patrick explained that this year Ericsson-LG Enterprise has been looking to the future, from cloud, to SaaS models.

Patrick also addressed some of the business highlights that iPECS saw in 2021. These included cloud growth and new innovations such as iPECS ONE and iPECS Analytics, as well as efforts to tackle the year’s major challenges, such as the global component shortage.

Attendees heard from some key speakers from Ericsson-LG Enterprise, such as our new Head of Operations, Jaeen Yoo. Jaeen gave insight into how Ericsson-LG Enterprise are responding to the feedback raised by our Global Partners. This included agile new feature delivery and quicker diagnostics and resolutions. Jaeen was followed by HM Lee, Head of PLM, who introduced some of the exciting innovations that will come to the iPECS product portfolio in 2022.

We are focusing our strategy and investing in a cloud and on-premise portfolio that can take advantage of faltering competition. iPECS’s continued dedication to cloud transformation has led to some outstanding success stories, and this will be compounded in 2022 with increased product and marketing support.

Ahed was keen to thank partners for their attendance: “I’d like to thank this group of partners who have expertly navigated this challenging environment with us, and we’re very grateful for your continued support and partnership.”

Global Partner Awards Ceremony

The next part of the GPC 2022 was about sharing the successes of Global Partners around the world. First Ahed congratulated some of the highest achieving global resellers from around the world. Despite the awards being hosted online, there was a serious sense of anticipation ahead of the awards.

The first set of awards were dedicated to some of 2021’s best performing resellers from around the world. Despite a difficult year, many teams rose to the challenge and deserved commendation.

2021 saw an even greater push towards cloud adoption and digital transformation. With the GPC’s theme Imagine Possible and our dedication to this technology, it was important to recognize the teams that made the biggest advancements in this field. It was Pragma Distribution who picked up the award for Cloud Partner of the Year.

Presence Management from the US won Digital Transformation Partner of the Year for their work on emergency and child safety solutions.

Although 2021 was a challenging year, many of our global partners saw some fantastic growth. In this field one stood above the rest though and that was Greece’s Blue Technologies IKE, who won the Best Growth Award.

The hospitality industry bounced back in 2021, but securing high value contracts in this field is still challenging. We commended Israel’s Bezeq International for their work bringing iPECS services to hotels across Israel with the Best Partner of the Year, Hospitality Award.

We believe it is incredibly important to highlight the unsung heroes of the communications industries, so this year’s Technical Team of the Year Award went to two different teams. The first was Aria Technologies, for their work implementing Unified 5.0. An award also went to Pragma Distribution for their team’s work introducing iPECS Analytics and their continued work on iPECS Cloud.

We also wanted to recognize service providers in this year’s awards. Our Service Provider of the Year award went to Telkom South Africa, launching iPECS Cloud in their market.

2021 also saw the arrival of many new partners to the iPECS family. We handed New Partner of the Year awards to PT Damai Sejati (ITComm) in Indonesia and Tele Dynamics Global Com in Malaysia.

Following these awards, it was time to recognize the best and brightest teams from all over the globe with the regional awards. The winners here were:

European Partner of the Year: Promelit Communication System (Italy)

Middle East & Africa Partner of the Year: Bezeq International Ltd. (Israel)

Americas Partner of the Year: Presence Management (USA)

Asia Pacific Partner of the Year: Aria Technologies Australia (Australia)

Finally, Patrick Johansson announced the prestigious Global Partner of the Year Award. In 2022 this award was as hotly contest as ever, but it was Pragma Distribution who were awarded the prize. Pragma’s successful year and continued innovation in the cloud communications market made them more than deserving winners.

Pragma’s Managing Director Tim Brooks was thrilled to receive the award for the fourth year running. He gave his thanks to the dedication of the Pragma team on their 10th anniversary year:

“The journey that we’ve been over this last ten years from a start-up business back in 2012, to where we are today as a fully-fledged UCaaS provider in an incredibly competitive market just makes us all burst with pride. I’d like to dedicate this award to our incredible talented and hardworking team here at Pragma. Will, Grace and I are really proud of each and every one of them.”

While not every team walked away with an award at the ceremony, it was a fantastic occasion for everyone involved. We can’t wait for next year’s event and are looking forward to hopefully seeing our partners again face-to-face in 2023.
