Atlas Gentech New Zealand (AG) held a Communications Showcase in July with the key brand focus being the Ericsson-LG Enterprise iPECS Cloud and on-prem portfolios. Over seventy resellers from the upper half of New Zealand attended the event where they enjoyed live product demonstrations and presentations relating to trends and opportunities in the global and local markets.

One of the verticals identified for short-medium term growth for Ericsson-LG Enterprise is the tourism and hospitality sector. Prior to the strict Covid-19 lockdowns in New Zealand, tourism was a significant contributor to the New Zealand economy generating around NZD16B in 2019. The industry has been through a difficult three years but with the New Zealand Government fully opening the borders from 1st June this year, the visitor numbers are already increasing and hotel occupancy throughout the country is improving accordingly. The segment is predicted to bounce back by 25% over the next twelve months. The graph below shows inbound visitor trends (Source New Zealand Statistics Department).

Live demonstrations were provided for the iPECS Hotel Solution Suite, iPECS Cloud Management Portals, iPECS Analytics, iPECS ONE and Microsoft Teams integration. Also, the full range of iPECS 1000i series IP Phones were on display, including the recently launched iPECS 1080i video phone.
“The entire Atlas Gentech sales team had a many positive discussions with customers and resellers on the day and have identified a number of great opportunities to follow up on” said Chris Fair, Senior Regional Manager North. Overall, it was a fantastic, well attended event” Fair concludes.
Similar events are planned for Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand and Wellington in the lower North Island later in the year.
